When the Chinatown-based bag brand Kara launched in 2013, it successfully filled the void for polished, pared-back, and, above all else, practical designs for the purse-averse. But, five years in, founder Sarah Law sought to streamline her look further. “When I go out, I don’t always want to carry a bag, even though I design bags!” Law says of the impetus behind the label’s latest launch: a hands-free collection, modeled by Marz Lovejoy , that blurs the line between clothing and carry-alls.
