Upright Citizens Brigade, the improv theatre company that operates two Manhattan venues—one in Hell’s Kitchen and the other in the East Village—will close the latter location due to financial reasons, according to New York Magazine. Programming will go on at the East 3rd St. location as scheduled through February 9. Artistic Director Michael Hartney said in an email to the UCB community that beginning February 15, the company's downtown presence will continue at SubCulture, which is located at 45 Bleecker Street.
