The morning light could reveal more damage this morning across Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley. Severe thunderstorms and strong winds Saturday night (Oct 21) and early Sunday have led to power outages, downed trees, and damage to property. One of the hardest hit places is Lavaca in Sebastian County. Our 40/29 crew encountered a downed tree on Military Road in Lavaca and the county was already working to clear it. "We've seen a lot of trees down it's a big mess out here, said Elliott Godfrey, a Senior Heavy Equipment Operator for the Sebastian County Road Department.
