As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 240 new cases of the deadly virus in 12 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja. This was announced by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) via its daily update on Sunday, February 28. Accoridng to the statistics released by the agency, Anambra had 85 fresh cases while Lagos recorded 82 fresh cases. Other states with fresh cases include Osun-17, Ogun-10, Kwara-9, FCT-8, Kano-7, Abia-6, Borno-4, Edo-2, Bayelsa-2, Kaduna-2 and Rivers-1.
