Image caption Two wards at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital were closed last week because of a coronavirus outbreak. Eight patients have died with coronavirus at a hospital where 82 cases have been linked to an outbreak on the site. Planned surgeries have been temporarily stopped at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant as part of a plan to manage the outbreak. Patients who would usually be taken to A&E in an emergency will also be sent elsewhere. The temporary measures come into force at 14:00 BST on Wednesday.
