There have been more articles over the past few weeks than any one person could possibly read on the pressures that Covid19 is imposing on the broader food system. (This recent one from National Geographic is a fairly nice summary for those who have been impressively avoiding the news.) Some of these articles are alarmist, some of them are reassuring to the point of foolhardiness, and many of them are spot on. On some level, it’s great that people are increasingly cognizant of some of the intricacies of this complex global system. There are certainly opportunities to improve during and in the aftermath of this extraordinarily difficult time. But how will we actually tackle these issues in the food system? Full story
